Week 3 of our little adventure was almost side tracked due to illness. Two crew members were not feeling well and one of them needed a parent to care for her. Nevertheless the healthy group headed off for Newtown CT to visit Ferris Acres Creamery, http://www.ferrisacrescreamery.com. Arrived to a very crowded parking lot but the line moved quickly. We brought along a freezer bag to take home ice cream to the sick (or caring for sick) who could not join us.
The shop was nice, you could see the working farm in the background and across the street you could see (and smell) cows wandering in the fields. Megan and Alyssa found a playmate and romped around in the grass while the rest of us waited in line.

Megan wanted me to say that so far this has been the best ice cream we have had.
