Back in the East

so we're back home and i had to get out and do some skiing this weekend. Wanted to keep it local this weekend since we'd just gotten back so headed to Ski Sundown.

Saturday was Jon and me for some kidless skiing. Spent a beautiful spring afternoon (in feb!!) on the hill. Snow was soft and slow, it felt like i was dragging an anchor behind me. But got to hit some small bumps and that was lots of fun.

Sunday was me and the kids. Megan had tried and got frustrated on the NASTAR course at Breckenridge so she wanted to try again. Sundown has NASTAR Sunday 3-6. Hit the hill around 1 and skied some easy cruisers. Sun was out but it wasn't as warm as yesterday (warm, just not as warm). As 3:00 rolled around we headed over to the starting gate. Meg's first time was 40 seconds, about 10 seconds away from a medal. 2nd run was 36, 3rd run was 34. She was doing great. Even the guy in the starter's house commented on the progress she was making. Meanwhile Jake had scored a Bronze for one of his runs. Last run of the day Meg got down to 32 seconds. Little video of the action -
