bad week for electronics in our house

Not a good week for electronic stuff in our house. First Jake's laptop died. Initially we thought it was just a bad power cord but after trying others it turns out the laptop itself is the problem. Then after we got home from skiing this weekend I went to download some video off the camcorder and mistakenly plugged in the power cord for Megan's laptop.... the result was i killed the camcorder :-(

so now we're shopping for a new laptop and a new camera.
