Father's Day Fun

June 20, 2010

We kept close to home this weekend due to crazy schedule and travel plans for Jon and me heading to D.C. for a conference.   We started off Father's Day with brunch at 707 On Main. We have very few restaurants in Monroe and this is one of my favorites.  They were pretty busy and service was a bit on the slow side but we all enjoyed our food. All you can eat buffets are always a hit in my book.

After that we hit up the 39th Annual Strawberry Festival, something we do every year.

Its a great event put on by one of the churches in town. They fill the town green with arts & crafts vendors, setup games and serve food.

The girls had fun playing some games and then we walked around the crafter's booths.  The girls got their first "ink"

Then we headed for the strawberry shortcakes.

I went with the ice cream and cookie version.
